(Mainly Detective Conan) Who's the Real White Moonlight, Anyway?

People in the Organization said Gin's one true love was Whiskey. When it came to Whiskey, the cold-blooded Gin repeatedly made exceptions and backed down.

People in the Organization said Whiskey's one true love was Scotch. The lone wolf Whiskey had made an exception and asked the Boss to make them permanent partners.

People in the Organization said Scotch's one true love was Bourbon. Someone always saw Scotch leaving Bourbon's room at dawn, eyes red and steps unsteady.

People in the Organization said Bourbon's one true love was Rye. Every time Rye went on a mission, Bourbon would keep disrupting his work to get his attention.

People in the Organization said Rye's one true love was Gin. From his clothes to his manner, from his speech to his skills, Rye kept improving himself so he could be useful to Gin.

Vermouth crossed her legs and blew out a puff of smoke. "See? This is why I don't like working with the boys. The five of them can make fifteen group chats."

As for what happened later, Gin sent Whiskey to the lab, Whiskey killed Scotch, Bourbon exposed Rye as an undercover agent, and Rye chased Gin to the ends of the earth.

Let's all cry out: Scotch, he loved him so much!

Whiskey leaned against the headboard, his face dark. "Could it be that I just 'died' too early to do anything to Bourbon?"

Scotch bent down and stroked Whiskey like a cat. "Right, right. Who doesn't have a childhood friend they love to bits?~"

Rye: That's a really nasty thing to say.

And so, to this day, we still don't know what that frequently appearing Steve Rye is supposed to do.

Please note: This story is about Scotch and Gin, and the main characters are both relics of the Scotch-and-Gin era. After all, this is the Detective Conan world. How can there not be childhood friends? (shouting)

Old Whitebeard was right: There is no ship in the New World that can carry me. (Not really.)

Aside from the canon pairings, the only couple in this story is Whiskey and Scotch, with no fixed top or bottom.

Theme: Before loving someone else, learn to love yourself
