I Opened a Taoist Temple in the Tang Dynasty

After transmigrating into the flourishing Tang Dynasty, Li Miaozhen is just about to enjoy a carefree life as a princess when she discovers two things:

First, it's the first year of the Tianbao era, fifteen years before the An Lushan Rebellion.

Second, her father, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, doesn't like her and gave her the nickname "Bug Girl."

Only then does Li Miaozhen realize that she hasn't gotten the everyone-loves-me story.

Though her father never cared for her, her mother disappeared, and she was even abandoned in a Taoist temple to fend for herself, Li Miaozhen ultimately carves out a path to immortality.

Her master is Zhang Guolao, who teaches her arcane Taoist arts. He later becomes the head of the imperial Taoist temple.

Her magic is astonishing: a blank sheet of paper can transform in an instant.

Her fame spreads across the land, and no demon dares to cause trouble wherever she goes...

Of course, she also has a sworn enemy: Luo Gongyuan, the greatest illusionist in the Tang Dynasty. He's young and arrogant, and his illusions are so powerful that he often plays tricks on the emperor, who has tried to kill him several times.

In the eleventh year of the Tianbao era, standing before the executioner's block, Luo Gongyuan calculates his destined marriage: it's in the palace, and the bride is still a child.

Three years ago, the male lead pointed his sword at the sky: "My fate is mine to decide, not Heaven's!"

Three years later, the male lead says: "A thousand miles cannot sever the red thread of fate."

Note:

The male lead appears in "New Book of Tang," Biographies, Volume 129: Arts and Techniques.
