(Wei Fei) Young and Promising

Students who leave the mountains face the shock of a brand-new world. But what about students from small towns?

In Wei Zhuang's heart, the answer was probably disappointment. Eight years ago, near the end of his sophomore year, a ray of light suddenly shone into his otherwise dreary life. Han Fei had walked straight toward him, heedless of everything, and for the first time taken him away from the hometown in his memories, where rain fell endlessly.

And yet... Wei Zhuang had known from the start that he and Han Fei were not cut from the same cloth. It was like how he had spent day and night doing practice problems, hoping to escape the hometown that had held him back for so many years, while the only thing eighteen-year-old Han Fei considered when choosing a university was how close it was to home.

Back then, after one text message, Wei Zhuang thought he and Han Fei had simply missed their chance. After all, even a shattered mirror put back together still has cracks. And even if a twist of fate caused their life paths to overlap unexpectedly, two railway tracks would eventually diverge.

Who knew that after years apart, they would meet again, and that when they did, everything would seem unchanged?

Han Fei: "Since you don't have a place here, why not... come stay at my place for the night?"

Theme: Growing up and saying goodbye.
