The Moonlight Lover's Character Is Gradually Going Off the Rails

[Temporarily don't feel like updating anymore. Sorry.]

Ji Xie grew up in a camp for assassins. He always stayed true to himself, fighting for first place in every camp assessment, but whenever he was sent on a mission, he made himself utterly useless.

On his first mission, Ji Xie accidentally fell into a trap and met someone who saw through every one of his disguises but never looked down on him.

"Don't be afraid. I'm here."

"Stay close. I'll get you out."

"It's all right if you don't want to leave with me now, Ji Xie. Someday, I'll come back and save you."

Only later did Ji Xie, who'd slacked off so thoroughly that he couldn't even remember what his first mission was, learn that this person he cherished was the very target he had been assigned to assassinate.

Ji Xie: "..."

Even being useless has its uses.

From then on, whenever Ji Xie found himself in danger, someone would secretly come to his aid, never showing their face. Only after the new Shadow Pavilion replaced the old one and Ji Xie became its new master did he receive a short letter from the person he cherished:

"You're not dead, are you?"

Ji Xie: ???

He immediately wrote back: I'm dead.

Two years later, under Ji Xie's management, the Shadow Pavilion gradually fell into poverty and ruin. At his lowest point, the first young disciple since the new Shadow Pavilion was founded arrived.

The little disciple was sweet, sensible, and considerate, and even looked like the person he cherished.

When Ji Xie realized what was going on: !!

Damn, could this be the person he cherished's son?

He finally got an answer to all his questions one day, when the little disciple suddenly went "poof" and changed from a ten-year-old child into a twenty-year-old adult right in front of him.

Ji Xie: ??????????

Only then did he truly realize that the boy's sweetness and good manners were all an act. This man was devious and scheming, and if he displeased him, he would tear the Shadow Pavilion down until it was nothing but flat ground.

Ji Xie: "Honestly, what was your first impression of me back then?"

He Lianjing: "I thought you didn't seem very bright. Killing an idiot would be an insult to my blade."

Ji Xie: "..."

Was I blind?! What kind of cherished person is this?

A scheming but devoted gong x a tsundere, double-standard shou

1. The gong's body shrinks for some reason. The shou has no romantic feelings for the shrunken gong and only wants to take him on as a disciple.

2. The gong isn't a good person. He's willing to change for the shou, but he's still dangerous at heart.

3. HE, 1v1, each other's first love.

Theme: In peaceful times, strive to be a good, well-rounded young person.
