Do Not Teach Urban Legends How to Be Human

[Instance "Payday" completed~]

Su Lai can't feel fear. His mental state is naturally beautiful, and he loves the uncanny.

One day, he blundered into a world of supernatural horrors while working as a food delivery driver.

A weird-core urban village, a factory grinding through wage slaves, a family banquet brewing up parents and children... Contaminants lurk everywhere, and bizarre rules sprout like mushrooms after rain.

[For the sake of your life and mental health, please strictly follow the rules below.]

[First, always remember that you are human.]

Su Lai: Who told you I was going to be a person?

[Second, if the flow of time becomes abnormal, adjust your perception promptly. Do not lose yourself.]

Su Lai: I'll beat the clock until it learns to behave.

[Third, the number of your family members is fixed. If new "parents" appear at the dinner table...]

Su Lai greets them with a smile: Happy New Year, new mom and dad! Don't forget my red envelope. No cash? A bank transfer is fine.

Other players: Rules are meant to be followed.

Su Lai: Rules are meant to be brazenly defied.

Other players: Pretend to be an NPC to avoid a deadly crisis.

Su Lai: Dutifully play the player, and be the rules' daddy while I'm at it.

While the other players tread carefully, going mad or dying, Su Lai rides a beat-up scooter in pink flip-flops, delivering takeout through the instances to earn extra cash. He kills ghosts and slays demons, letting loose and becoming more and more mentally beautiful by the day.

Su Lai's deranged antics catch the attention of his livestream audience, who flood the System with requests to give him a temporary player identity.

Before long, Su Lai breaks every rule. The ghosts and monsters he bullies into tears all file complaints with the System.

They can't kick him out, kill him, or even contaminate him.

The System is at its wits' end. To stop this temporary player from bullying the rules, it has no choice but to negotiate with Su Lai in person.

[Hello. The System has decided to promote you from temporary player to Rule Boss.]

Su Lai sneers: You want me to work for free? Dream on.

[Health insurance and pension, paid leave, a fifteenth-month salary, flexible hours, flat management, and no overtime.]

Su Lai: I can do the job as long as I can wear flip-flops to work.

Later on.

The main god asks the System: Is the new boss making rules to scare the players properly?

System: [No. He's busy with something else.]

The main god: ...Busy with what?

Su Lai: Teaching the rules how to behave.

The rules: Okk, we understand. We'll behave.

A beauty of violence / frequently goes off the rails / thinks he's an ordinary person / high combat and intellectual ability / beautiful mental state / loves flip-flops bottom vs. pretends to be weak / pathologically obsessive / misunderstands ordinary people / thinks he's an S but is actually an M / erratic mental state eldritch god top

"Reading guide"

1. Absurdity, humor, and a golden finger. The protagonist's thought process is abnormal, and he does whatever he wants.

2. The protagonist is friendly and tears down houses in a civilized manner. His mental state is exceptionally beautiful.

3. My take on Chinese-style supernatural horror or Chinese-style cosmic horror. The plot takes center stage early on.

Theme: The heat of passion cannot be extinguished on a winter night. Justice and freedom shine brightly in the face of despair.
