Please add my upcoming novel to your reading list: The Big Shot Becomes the Rich Man's Disposable Character [Book Transmigration]
From the book:
As a boy, the male lead always knew the girl next door had a crush on him.
When he went to the countryside, he married the production brigade leader's daughter.
After returning to the city, he roamed the streets and alleys, making the acquaintance of several confidantes.
While fleeing disaster, he met the female lead, and the two quickly fell in love.
As for his ex-wife, the production brigade leader's daughter? He dumped her, and she met a miserable end.
After living for over a thousand years, she opened her eyes and found herself in the role of the disposable ex-wife from the book.
At that moment, the disposable ex-wife was desperately clinging to the male lead, and his confidante had splashed acid on her, ruining her face.
What should she do?
Kill the male lead?
Forget it. She'd stay by his side for now, and put up with being the disposable ex-wife until she found a way to leave.
But... the male lead's attitude toward her grew stranger and stranger.
Until one day, he grabbed her, eyes bloodshot and voice choked with grievance. “I've been waiting for you so long. I thought you weren't coming back.”
Thank goodness you came back!
Reader advisory:
1. The male lead has a twisted moral compass and dumps people as soon as he's done using them. Read with caution if that's a dealbreaker.
2. The female lead is a thousand-year-old monster and a max-level powerhouse.
3. The story focuses on the main characters. All other supporting characters are disposable.
4. The male and female leads are both inexperienced. A lighthearted, marriage-first, love-later story with a period setting.
About this book
One-line summary: A reborn deity helps his weak ex-wife's parents and grandfather restore the family's former glory.
Blurb One:
The Jiang family of Xingzhi is one of the seven great occult families.
Jiang Shan, the Jiang family's sole heir, was locked away for fifteen years. When he got out, he went from being the much-admired young master of the Jiang family to a useless failure, and the family's disciples drove him away.
The disciples were convinced that as long as Jiang Shan didn't become head of the family, Xingzhi would continue to prosper.
Soon, they discovered a dense concentration of spiritual energy gathering in the shabby little house where Jiang Shan lived. Then they got scared.
But they waited and waited, and Jiang Shan never retaliated. As time passed, everyone forgot about him.
Blurb Two:
Jiang Shan wanted an ordinary life. He got married, and soon his wife was pregnant.
Just as he was imagining a happy life, something went wrong when his wife gave birth.
He bought pesticides, intending to join his wife and daughter forever. But they came back to life, and many spiritual creatures showed up at his house.
The spiritual energy was richer than anything he'd ever seen!
Later on
His daughter tilted her head back and asked, “Dad, these old men say they want to make you the leader of the Seven Great Families. Are you going to accept?”
Jiang Shan: “No. Running a business is too busy.”
His daughter turned to her mother and asked, “Mom, will you do it? If not, I'll tear their whole family apart.”
The heads of the seven great families trembled in a corner. Tearing down their homes would be like taking their lives!
Reader advisory:
1. Jiang Zhuzhou is the female lead, an invincible being.
2. Everyday life with the parents and daughter. The occult elements are all made up.
3. The daughter wants her parents to become occult big shots, but they only want to do business.
Theme: Family glory
Isn't it better to solve it directly? It has to happen and then solve it. I know that this is how the story develops, but if it happens like this every time, it makes the heroine look like crap, and then it turns into a badass. I think it's fun, so I don't take action and want to see how things develop. But when I know that the next development will hurt my family or the people I care about, I still choose to stand by and wait for them to be hurt before taking action. Does this make me look powerful?
The copy reads "The ex-wife is a weakling, the parents and the grandpa." Ex-wife??? The male and female protagonists looked confused. After looking at it, I realized it was a typo.
I have a question, is there not a single good person in the metaphysics world in this world?
Hey, the plot is quite interesting, but the author wrote the villain in it too stupidly...
Big cheers for the author!!!
