That Good-for-Nothing Wants to Take the Imperial Exam

If you asked Zhao Boyi what kind of person he hated most, the answer was obvious: a sister who sacrificed everything to support her younger brother.

He looked up at the sky and sighed. But what was he supposed to do now that he was the younger brother being supported?

In his previous life, he had been a university professor. Studying was the only thing he was good at.

A family dirt poor;

A father who had spent over thirty years taking the exams without even passing the lowest level;

A sharp-tongued, biased mother who brainwashed her daughters;

And a wife who had lost all faith in him!

What could he do?

Take the imperial examinations!

Years later, his father exclaimed through tears, "My son has become a great man!"

In short: a lazy, gluttonous nobody with delusions of grandeur buckles down and sets out on the path to an official career through the imperial examinations.
