The Boy Beyond the Sea of Stars

In 2012, I was the content director at a mobile game company.

Well, to be precise, I was the content director, the lead writer, the copywriter, and the editor and proofreader. I was actually the only person responsible for all the writing in every game.

This is a story written as background material for a game.

The setting is a future where Earth has been destroyed, and humanity has left the planet aboard an ark.

It's an old and familiar premise, but many years ago it was considered particularly original.

The game has since shut down, and the company has moved on to other business.

Every so often, I come across this story on my computer. The words feel familiar and strange at the same time, and I'm surprised to realize I wrote something like this once.

Basically, it's a future I came up with on a whim, and a group of teenagers who save the ark.

There's not much romance, and the focus is on the plot. It's categorized as romance because there's sort of a little bit of innocent teenage love.
