Why Is My Dao Companion Like That?

He Tingyun had been promised in marriage as a child. The other party was Fu Hanzhi, someone he couldn't stand.

The guy looked upright and proper, but was actually petty and loved making things difficult for him.

At the academy competition, he just had to snatch first place from him.

When they went down the mountain to gain experience, he was always on guard to make sure He Tingyun didn't steal the spotlight.

He even tried to control what He Tingyun ate and wore. What kind of sense did that make?

By chance, He Tingyun gained an opportunity to glimpse the secrets of heaven. He didn't care about anything else, only wanting to see what kind of fortune Fu Hanzhi would have in the future.

What he saw nearly made him faint with anger.

The guy became his cultivation partner, and even went on to cultivate the Heartless Path.

Pah!

Fu Hanzhi had known since childhood that he was engaged to someone. As a cultivator, he had to be responsible and naturally should take good care of his partner.

His partner was impulsive, so he ought to act with composure.

His partner was petty, so he ought to be tolerant and magnanimous.

His partner had a special constitution that made dual cultivation impossible. The youth, who had never tasted love, gritted his teeth and prepared to cultivate the infamous Heartless Path.

Just as he made up his mind, someone hurriedly brought him a marriage contract.

His beloved partner was leaning out the window, waving at him.
