On Our Wedding Night, My Husband’s Cover Was Blown

Qin Luorou spent her whole life being cautious and following the rules, only to be jilted by her childhood sweetheart and left with a reputation for being wanton.

Given another life, she refuses to repeat her old mistakes.

To hell with the Three Obediences and Four Virtues. She'll live boldly and do as she pleases.

One night, drunk, she casually rescues a young scholar. Taken by his good looks, she keeps him hidden away like a treasured beauty.

From then on, she has a handsome companion for poetry, painting, horseback rides, and moonlit drinking. What's more, the young scholar even helps her break off her engagement.

Having achieved her goal, Qin Luorou plans to leave the capital and live freely elsewhere. She hardens her heart and leaves without saying goodbye.

Who could have guessed an imperial edict would come crashing down on her? The gravely ill, cold and indifferent Prince Ning wants to marry her to ward off his bad luck.

Qin Luorou tries to run away in the middle of the night, but is knocked unconscious and carried into Prince Ning's residence.

When she opens her eyes, she is lying in bed. A man in a black ceremonial robe sits beside her, facing away as he takes off his clothes. Qin Luorou instinctively curls up.

But when the man turns around, she freezes. He looks exactly like the scholar she had been secretly keeping.

He leans over her, his expression unreadable. "You're so heartless, my dear. You used me and then abandoned me?"
