[Before you read: Tragic ending. No entry for those who want pure love. No entry for sweet-romance fans. Major angst. Discuss the plot and characters rationally, and please don't attack the author personally.]

Blurb:

Dim lamplight falls on an old redwood table carved with flowers. Gu Shiwei props up her head and studies this face. A faintly sickly pallor shows through her luminous profile. In the yellow light, the fine down on her skin lends her a soft, ethereal beauty. Above her high nose is a pair of cold, narrow eyes.

The moment her brows tremble, she seems like a dazzling galaxy in full bloom.

She speaks softly, sorrow plain in her eyes and brows. "If I die someday, will you remember that there was once someone called Bai Sitong?"

She once loved you with her whole life.

Reader's guide:

1. Set in the Republican era.

2. Tragic ending [emphasis] [No entry for those who want pure love]

3. Alternate universe, very much an alternate universe, completely fictional, with no real-life inspiration!

Theme: One moment of tenderness in a lifetime is enough.
