I Picked Up a Celestial Beauty for a Husband [A Match Made in Heaven]

Dong Shi heard that when she first transmigrated, the old water buffalo at her family's home had saved her.

One day, the "life-saving benefactor" spoke.

Old Buffalo: "Go to Immortal Lake tomorrow. There's a group of handsome young men bathing there. The beauty in the white robe and purple overcoat is your husband. Steal his clothes, and he'll marry you. Then you'll get meat at every meal."

Dong Shi, eating wild greens: "Can I have beef noodles every day?"

The old buffalo gritted his teeth. "Try it and see!"

Dong Shi: "I'll sneak a look at a man bathing and steal his clothes... Are you sure he'll marry me, instead of beating me to a pulp or turning me in to the authorities?"

The old buffalo nearly dropped the script.

After the Seventh Prince married her, she really did "get meat every day," and eventually became pregnant with their "little one."

Holding the baby in her arms, Dong Shi was shocked to hear that her husband was the Heavenly Emperor's seventh son, and that he had married her only to undergo a trial in the mortal world.

Dong Shi ascends to the heavens to argue her case. "We haven't even sorted out compensation for the years I lost, alimony, or child support. How can we get divorced?"

The Seventh Prince's handsome eyes darken. Gritting his teeth, he asks, "You came up here to divorce me?"

Dong Shi: "What else?"

The Seventh Prince: "Then cultivate immortality."

P.S. Although this is technically a derivative work, it only borrows the background premise of a celestial being matching with a mortal, combining the folk tales of The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl and The Heavenly Match, with the genders of the original roles reversed. The plot is not based on any TV series or novel. The plot and characters are original and differ from the folk tales.
