After Inheriting a Fierce Merman

Song Cizhi is a socially anxious person.

By chance, he inherits a villa.

The villa has a swimming pool. There's a big fish in the pool.

Song Cizhi is so hungry his eyes glow red. He smacks his lips. "That's one fat fish."

"It looks so plump. It'd be delicious braised!"

The merman in the pool: "..."

Later...

The merman in the pool yawns.

Song Cizhi quickly hugs a pillow and lies down. "Come on, time to sleep," he whispers.

The merman curls his lips into a smile, gazing at the human above the water. A look of triumph flashes in his eyes.

Later still, the merman's mating season finally arrives.

The merman is done playing house, so he simply grabs Song Cizhi and dives underwater with him.

Song Cizhi points at the merman, stammering, "D-don't come any closer!"

The merman's eyes redden at the corners. He lifts Song Cizhi's arm, lips trembling, and looks at him in silence.

Song Cizhi hugs himself and refuses. "...I'm a normal human!"
