After an accident, Lu Xi was left paralyzed from the waist down while saving Su Qingge. Feeling guilty, Su Qingge eventually decided to marry her.
Over five years of marriage, Lu Xi gave her everything, heart and soul, only to end up with nothing.
One day.
Lu Xi made a pot of snow pear soup and wheeled herself to the backstage area of Lixiang Garden, hoping to surprise Su Qingge. Just as she was about to knock on the dressing-room door, she suddenly heard someone speaking inside:
"Qingqing, you married Lu Xi because you felt guilty about her, didn't you? I know you don't love her at all. Otherwise, you wouldn't be staying in the dressing room every day, right?"
Lu Xi's raised hand fell back to her side. Her heart plunged in an instant. A moment later, she turned and left.
That night, Su Qingge didn't come home.
The next day, when Su Qingge returned, Lu Xi handed her a printed agreement with both hands. Her gaze was calm and profound, like a bottomless pool. "Su Qingge, let's get divorced."
Su Qingge's mind went blank for a moment. She didn't ask why, only said, "Have you made up your mind?"
Lu Xi nodded. "I have."
There were two copies of the agreement, one for each of them.
After leaving the villa, Lu Xi was hit by a billboard that fell from the roadside and died on the spot.
Reborn, she returned to five years earlier.
Outside a restaurant.
After seeing off a client, Lu Xi was unexpectedly bumped from behind, scattering her documents across the ground.
A woman bent down to help pick them up, her voice soft and gentle. "I'm sorry."
Lu Xi took the documents and replied coolly, "It's fine."
Before long, they met again.
At a bar late at night.
Su Qingge ordered a "Tear of Amber." Her light-colored eyes glimmered softly. "What a coincidence, miss. We meet again."
Lu Xi ran her fingers over her glass, radiating an air that warned everyone to stay away. She asked with a faint, mocking smile, "Do we know each other?"
[Warnings]: A melodramatic angst-fest, written at kindergarten level. Stay or leave as you please, no need to tell me. Thanks for your cooperation. And let me say it for the millionth time: Su Qingge did not cheat!
