After Becoming the Ghost King, I Was Forced into an Arranged Marriage

The tenth year after Gu Qichi lost his memories.

He had just successfully returned from training in the Ghost Realm and ascended to Ghost King when his immediate superior and friend arranged a marriage for him, binding him in a ghost marriage to a weak, feeble human man.

Gu Qichi, who saw himself as a mature, steady, reliable, centuries-old ghost: Weak, human, male, none of those are my type.

Watching his friend, one of the matchmakers, get beaten into a bruised mess without giving in, Gu Qichi couldn't help laughing.

Fine, he'll marry him. They only told him to get married, not that he couldn't get divorced.

The Lord of the Underworld, who governs the capital's laws and justice, had recently taken inspiration from human law and revised the Netherworld's statutes to promote freedom of marriage: Marry if you want, divorce if you want.

He was going to divorce him the day after the wedding.

Wen Tuo, a notorious playboy in the capital, suddenly received an imperial decree from his father one day: Go home and wait for your beautiful, charming fiancee to pay you a visit.

The scoundrel, convinced he'd lost his freedom to choose whom to marry, deliberately put his arm around a hot bar girl he'd just picked up an hour earlier, ready to go home and provoke his beautiful fiancee.

But on the way, he ran into a supernatural incident. At the critical moment, his beautiful fiancee rescued him like a hero, then slapped a divorce agreement in his face.

At first

Gu Qichi: Divorce the day after the wedding?

Wen Tuo: Yes.

Later

Gu Qichi: Come on, the thirty-day cooling-off period is over. Let's get divorced.

Wen Tuo: Honey, love me one more time! [Reaching out dramatically]
