After Sacrificing My Teammate, I Got Confessed to by My Crush

[Attention! Spoiler warning up front: the pairing is Ishigami. Readers with strong pairing preferences, proceed with caution!]

On the day of the Shuchiin student council election, Inoue Ren, who was all the way in Yokohama, completely missed the deadline. But perhaps because her girl friends were too obsessed with romance, the principal made her the second secretary.

She had no idea why the secretary position had gone to her when the auditor and general affairs positions were still vacant. But after joining the student council, she understood the principal's noble intentions.

This student council was terrifying. One of her girl friends was every bit the politician's daughter, steering the conversation off topic with just a few words. The student council president looked glamorous on the outside, but was living the life of an overworked wage slave, and he even had a passionate heart. Her ice-cold friend had long since melted into a silly goofball, and the only comfort was that her good buddy was still the same as ever.

Inoue Ren poured her heart and soul into saving the student council and earned the approval of everyone at Shuchiin. But why did everyone come to her to talk about romance? Wasn't school supposed to be a place for dreams and ideals? Had Shuchiin finally fallen into ruin?!

Inoue Ren, her face weathered with age, patted her buddy on the shoulder and said solemnly, "As expected, you're the only one at all of Shuchiin, my dearest friend, who can bring me warmth."

Ishigami: "...I don't want to be your soulmate at all."

1. The logic is dead, and the timeline is a mess. Don't overthink it.

2. The writing is just okay. Please don't flame me.

3. The plot goes wild, and anything goes.

4. Out-of-character behavior and character derailment ahead.

5. If you can accept all that, I hope you enjoy!~☆

Theme: There isn't any fanfic to read, so I'm trying to write my own.
