Winter Melon Lemon

Winter melon and lemon, sweet and sour. I'll always remember the first time I met him. He was wearing a white undershirt, a huge smile on his face, and told me his name was Chen Hao. My eyes always followed him as he moved. I secretly liked him like that, and nobody knew. Then one day, he stopped coming to the milk tea shop, and everything came to an abrupt end. Only then did I realize that I didn't even know his name, age, or phone number. I thought of it as him having died from my life, yet I couldn't forget him. Maybe the person I'd always liked was only the version of him in my imagination. Still, I want to thank him for appearing in my ordinary, unremarkable youth and becoming the only light in the gloom of my three years in high school. *A short story about a secret crush. The crushes of youth probably mostly come to nothing, yet stay in our hearts forever.
