Runyu: The Peony, Fairest of Them All

The people on the road are like jade, and the young master is unmatched beneath heaven. Only the peony is truly the most beautiful flower; when it blooms, the capital is stirred. She was the first color between heaven and earth, the foremost of all flowers. She had lived through countless eras without ever losing her heart. In this fleeting world, she was merely a bystander. An impulsive wager and a wicked idea born of a moment's boldness drew her into a consuming love affair.

"You once promised me a body drenched in blood. I have no blood to repay you with, so how about I give you a peony instead?"

If a flower is ready to be picked, pick it now. Don't wait until it has withered, when all you can do is break off a bare branch. I love you, and now I come to you through endless flames. What about you? Do you love me?

[Reading Guide]: I haven't watched all of Ashes of Love. I'll do my best not to bash anyone. The female lead is much older than the others. She's very capable, but also very laid-back. Please don't attack the author. Originally posted on the Runyu forum, then edited and posted here.

Theme: Even if everyone despises you, you must still respect and love yourself.
