You see the sunlight filtering gently through the branches of the cherry trees by the entrance to Ryonan. Beneath them stands the boy he was at seventeen. You call his name, and he turns his head toward you, then smiles softly.
You see the basketball court packed with cheering fans. Whether the opposing team wears white or red, he turns the tide all by himself. He plays with joy and gives it everything he's got, but when he fails to secure a ticket to the national tournament, he can't help feeling disappointed.
You see the long, glittering coastline, and him openly admitting that he's jealous.
You see Tokyo's dazzling nightscape. He leans against the balcony railing, almost blending into the bustle of the city, and you hear him say, "You'd better not spoil me too much."
You wake up, the corners of your eyes cool and your cheeks wet.
Only a little night-light illuminates the quiet room. The only sound is the clock ticking toward 2:30 a.m.
So many years have passed already.
Theme: A tribute to youth and a young girl's heart.
Great, isn't there any more warmth in the sky?
