Old Military Uniform

"It was a fine day. I put on my older brother's old military uniform and went to her house for a banquet. When I stood before her, she paused for a moment, but still wore a smile that said, 'A friend from afar, how delightful.' It was as if she were looking at me, and yet as if she were looking at him, long dead. For one second, I even felt that her beautiful black eyes had aged by decades."

I might expand this someday, if anyone reads it.
