When the White Moonlight Becomes the Villainess

At eighteen, Meng Congnan discovers that she's living inside a book. As luck would have it, she's the male lead Gu Jianbai's doomed first love.

She wakes up, angrily breaks up with him, and immediately falls off a cliff.

When she opens her eyes again, Meng Congnan has become the twenty-five-year-old Diao Su, Gu Jianbai's wife in an arranged marriage and the book's vicious female side character who gets in the leads' way.

All Diao Su can think is: Why has the male lead gotten so old?

At twenty-five, Diao Su announces her life goals: 1. Divorce Gu Jianbai. 2. Reach the top of the entertainment industry. 3. Keep a young pretty guy.

She achieves the first two, but as for the third...

Diao Su: Ex-husband, get out of my way. You're keeping me from looking at young pretty guys.

Gu Jianbai, who was supposed to be passionately involved with his lookalike substitute: Stop messing around. Am I not young and pretty enough?

Diao Su: ...

The entertainment industry's gossipmongers originally thought President Gu would have a dramatic substitute romance with Fan Shiyao, who looks like his first love.

But unexpectedly, President Gu doesn't follow the usual script. He goes after his ex-wife instead.

Breaking news!

President Gu got kicked out!

President Gu has several handprints on his face!

Diao Su stood President Gu up!

The gossipmongers: Surely he's angry now, regrets it, and will give up.

Gu Jianbai: My wife is so beautiful.

Everyone faints.

I thought we'd never see each other again, but it turns out you've been right here beside me all along.
