Kageyama Told Me to Quit Volleyball

[The whole story costs about 2 yuan. Please support the official release, everyone -3-] Kageyama Tobio is the most handsome boy in Class 1-B, but he's always cold toward girls. He never responds to their confessions, and often doesn't even answer when they speak to him. But Takanashi Chiyo is different. During PE, he always leaves the boys playing basketball to find her. He sets the ball for her, teaches her how to receive it, points out what she's doing wrong, and patiently repeats the movements over and over. Everyone thinks he likes her, and Takanashi is no exception. In fact, she'd been secretly in love with Kageyama for a long time. Getting a response from the boy she liked felt like something that could only happen in a dream, so, egged on by her friends, she nervously confessed to him. But his answer was so heartless, it was almost absurd. “? I don't like you.” “I only seek you out because you're so terrible at volleyball.” So from that day on, Takanashi Chiyo decided to hate Kageyama Tobio. ★ CP: Kageyama Tobio. ☆ My take on Japanese high school, a simple story, mostly about volleyball, but it also includes Jujutsu Kaisen. If that's not your thing, please steer clear. Coming soon: "Secret Crush, Again" In high school, Chen Yubai was Yuanzhao's number-one simp. Because Yuanzhao's name sounded like winter, she loved everything about winter and thought it was the best season. Winter really was wonderful. Just not because of his name. It was because in winter, she could pretend the cold wind had made her cry instead of admitting she was crying because Yuanzhao had called her a people-pleaser who was nice to everyone, said he hated her, and told her she was annoying. Chen Yubai was heartbroken, but whenever Yuanzhao came looking for her, she was willing to forgive him. But right up until she transferred schools and left, Yuanzhao never came to say a single word to her of his own accord. So she'd just been pathetic. * Four years after high school, Yuanzhao became the famous lead singer of a band, with millions of fans and a career at its peak. By chance, Chen Yubai became an intern assistant assigned to him by her company, unnoticed and stuck doing every kind of odd job. He never mentioned that they had gone to high school together, and Chen Yubai, who had once chased after him all the time, pretended she didn't know him. Even later, when he finally swallowed his pride and called her by name, she only lowered her head and addressed him as Mr. Yuan or Brother Yuanzhao. She did what he asked, but always kept things strictly professional and never said a word more than necessary. She planned to transfer elsewhere as soon as she became a full-time employee, so she wouldn't have anything to do with him. Then someone deliberately photographed them together, rumors that they were secretly dating spread, and a storm erupted. Only then did Chen Yubai approach him outside of work for the first time. She handed in her resignation. “Do you really want to get rid of me that badly? Pretend none of it ever happened?” Yuanzhao gritted his teeth, unable to believe how cold she was being. But Chen Yubai only looked at him with a deadpan expression and pleaded in an even voice: “Please stop making things difficult for an employee, Brother Yuanzhao.” * She was a simp, a people-pleaser who was nice to everyone because she wanted to be nice to him, a delusional romantic who shamelessly imagined they'd end up together. She had been happy when she loved Yuanzhao. But having a secret crush was stupid, and she never wanted another one. Theme: Be careful not to let love pass you by.
