The Tyrant and His Calamitous Sorcerer

The old tyrant dies suddenly after taking too many elixirs, and the young tyrant is soon to be enthroned. Everyone flees the Flying Immortal Tower, where the elixirs were presented. Only Immortal Master Zhou Yao remains, having become the new state preceptor just three days ago. Following his master's final wish, Zhou Yao has come to find his martial uncle. His uncle, now the state preceptor of Northern Qin, welcomes him warmly and confides in him wholeheartedly. He passes over the disciples and grand-disciples, choosing Zhou Yao to become the master of the Flying Immortal Tower and the new state preceptor of Northern Qin. Deeply moved, Zhou Yao vows to carry on his master's legacy and bring the Flying Immortal Sect to greatness. Then, on the third day after Zhou Yao becomes state preceptor, his martial uncle flees with his disciples and grand-disciples, vanishing without a trace. The young tyrant surrounds the Flying Immortal Tower, declaring that he will "purge evil from the court and eliminate the demon master." To stay alive, Zhou Yao must restore the impressive airs of an "immortal." Zhou Yao (as the tiny flame at his fingertip trembles): "This is immortal flame. It burns everything." The young tyrant (narrowing his eyes): "The Red Flame Immortal Lord, a bloodthirsty menace to all six realms, is this all you've got?" At dawn, the young tyrant emerges from the Flying Immortal Tower. Before everyone, he declares Zhou Yao the state preceptor of Northern Qin, bestows on him the Daoist title Yaotian, and orders the Flying Immortal Tower moved into the imperial palace. Theme: May I have one person's heart, and stay together until our hair turns white.
