The Domineering Officer □□

Also known as My Home Is Wherever My Heart Is.

Military officer top, □□ bottom.

My darling, let's go home now,

The grapes have climbed onto the trellis:

Look, summer is about to arrive,

At the feet of its honeysuckle flowers, and in your bedroom.

Our wandering kisses have traveled all over the world:

Armenia, honeycombs unearthed from the earth;

Ceylon, green pigeons; the Yangtze River, with its age-old

patience, keeps separating daylight from night.

Now, my beloved, let's go back, across the surging sea,

like two blind birds returning to their ramparts,

to their distant spring nests;

for love cannot fly forever,

our lives return to the walls, return to the stones of the sea:

our kisses lead us home, to the place where we belong.

Bad ending.
