A Guide to Cultivating Immortality in Peace

Bottom's-eye view: Before Master ascended, he passed all his hard-won knowledge on to Xie Shiyan. And Xie Shiyan remembered his master's instructions very well. 1. Never mess with anyone everyone calls a good-for-nothing. 2. Never mess with anyone who has transmigrated. 3. Never mess with anyone who has been reborn. 4. Never mess with anyone who has a library inside their head. 5. Never mess with anyone who has an old man living in their ring. 6. Never mess with anyone who's been called an illegitimate child. With one person after another off-limits, Xie Shiyan, a heaven-blessed prodigy, felt terribly stifled, but he still obeyed. But... “Waaaaah, Master, why didn't you tell me that if I didn't mess with them, I'd be forced onto a danmei route!” [Cold, sickly beauty of a man, utterly world-weary gong x self-deluded, goofy shou who makes things up in his head] Top's-eye view: After dying together with Xie Shiyan, Wei Lingxian never imagined he would open his eyes again and be reborn a hundred years in the past. Back then, Wei Lingxian had only just taken the throne as Demon Venerable. He was not yet the wicked man whose reputation as a killer resounded throughout the world. The first thing he did after returning to his youth... Wei Lingxian: Find Xie Shiyan, and kill him while he's weak! But years later, as he watched a certain someone sleeping soundly beside him, the venerable Demon Lord looked utterly bewildered and couldn't help feeling that something was a little off. Wasn't the script I had in hand supposed to be about getting reborn, face-slapping, and crushing my sworn enemy? Reader's Guide: 1. Every character is fully realized. There are no villains; everyone has their own reasons and obsessions behind everything they do. 2. The shou was the chosen child and beacon of righteousness in his first life, but in his second life he's a lazy, goofy slacker. Theme: Master dug a pit and made me jump in!
