It Wasn't Him!

#The Long Road to Winning Her Back# #What Do You Do When You Mistake Someone Else for Your Benefactor?# Everyone in the entertainment industry knew that Xu Tianzi, a little-known singer, was in love with Lin Yu, the notorious entertainment industry's princeling. The princeling had three outstanding qualities: an incredible voice, a stunning face, and a perfect figure. Yet not a single woman dared approach him. That was because even more striking than those three qualities was his arrogant, nasty rich-kid temper. Everyone thought she was madly in love with him, Lin Yu included. For love's sake, she had even made up a lie, claiming he had once done her a great favor. "I'm not your benefactor, and I don't like little sweethearts who haven't grown up yet. Got it?" As he said this, Lin Yu idly toyed with the lighter in his hand. His cool gaze passed through the flickering light and landed on her face. Even so, Xu Tianzi did not care. Her eyes still sparkled with stars whenever she looked at him. He thought she might be a little dumb. Just as he had a moment of madness and genuinely wanted to date this little fool, she vanished from his side without warning. He did not see her again until a charity bazaar gala. The young woman had red lips, dark hair, and skin as white as snow. She affectionately linked arms with a senior in the music industry who shared Lin Yu's surname, smiling at him with the same star-filled gaze she used to give Lin Yu. * Everyone thought Lin Yu would never stop for a woman in his entire life. That was until a reporter at the bazaar gala photographed him pinning the girl against a wall, his voice tightly restrained as he asked, "Just how many benefactors do you have?" Male lead: I thought my wife's starry eyes meant she loved me. Then I found out she was grateful to me. And then I found out, damn it, I wasn't even the one she was grateful to! Female lead: I thought that kind older brother was a jerk on the outside, but then I found out he wasn't the kind older brother at all. He really is a jerk! A ditzy, innocent musical genius sweetheart x an arrogant, nasty jerk of an older brother tips -> The leads have an age difference of five years. Rewritten from an outline drafted years ago. The premise, plot, and characterizations have all changed considerably. I don't recommend reading the original version. Find me on Weibo at @Jinjiang Shanhushu.
