Blurb One:
The lop-eared rabbit Yu Yan is ostracized by his rabbit clan because his ears can't stand upright.
The white wolf Mo Jue was born with different-colored eyes and an unusual coat. His clan treats him like a plague, and only a palm-sized lop-eared rabbit doesn't reject him. He treasures the little rabbit, hiding it beneath his fluffy belly even when he sleeps.
After an upheaval separates them for a thousand years, they meet again. He is the supreme ruler of the demon realm, while the other is the Immortal Venerable of the human realm.
So what if humans and demons are enemies? So what if wolves and rabbits are natural foes? From the moment Mo Jue bit his own ear, he decided he would spend his life with this little rabbit.
Blurb Two:
After sleeping for a thousand years, Mo Jue, the ruler of the demon realm, awakens and swiftly gathers forces from all directions, marching his army toward the border between the human and demon realms.
Caught off guard, the human realm scrambles to respond, its various factions joining forces in haste.
After a fierce battle, the demon realm withdraws, but Yu Yan, the youngest Venerable of the cultivation world, disappears during the fighting.
Inside the demon palace, a handsome man in a high position, with pointed ears atop his head, gently strokes a palm-sized lop-eared white rabbit resting in his hands.
Mo Jue: “Yu Yan, do you still remember the white wolf who stole carrots for you a thousand years ago? You were so hungry that you bit my ear. The mark is still there.”
Yu Yan: “...”
Mo Jue points to the bite mark on his furry ear. “This is the proof. Back then, you promised to repay me by marrying me when you grew up. Does that promise still stand?”
Yu Yan: “Squeak, squeak.” (Of course it doesn't.)
Mo Jue pins down the fluffy rabbit's head. “I knew you wouldn't go back on your word. The betrothal gifts are already on their way~”
Rumors spread throughout the Six Realms that Demon Lord Mo Jue is smitten with the rabbit clan and often holds a lop-eared rabbit, unable to put it down.
In less than half a month, every rabbit spirit in the Six Realms is captured and sent to the demon palace.
Facing the graceful young women kneeling before him, Mo Jue pensively twirls the rabbit in his arms by its ears. “They look good. One will be simmered, and one braised.”
Yu Yan: “...??? How can you eat rabbits when they're so cute!”
Mo Jue says meaningfully: “Because rabbits are so cute, of course I have to ‘eat’ them...”
Reader's Guide:
1. Lots of original worldbuilding. This isn't a typical cultivation story, so don't take it too seriously.
2. A wolf raises a big white rabbit x a rabbit raised by a wolf. The wolf is cunning, and don't expect the rabbit to be very innocent either. Trying to keep it cute and sweet~
3. As always, the story is told from the top's perspective, but I'm not a top stan.
