What Use Is the System to You?

This novel was unexpectedly listed, and its backend has been compromised. It will be reposted under a different skin afterward. Updates are undecided.

A powerful, death-fearing ancient from another world suddenly gets a System with Simplified Chinese built in shoved in her face.

What do you think her reaction will be?

A. Horrified: What kind of demon is trying to harm me?!

B. Utterly confused: What are these blocky characters?

C. Furious: Whatever this is, get the hell out of here!

D. Enraged: Anyone who seems suspicious must die!

There's also an E: All of the above.

The System forced a bond on her seventeen times, and she rebuffed it every time. In the end, just as expected, it shut itself away.

Luckily, she couldn't read Simplified Chinese.

She'd never notice the pop-up prompts about being erased, forced bonding, or having her consciousness replaced!

System: Stay calm. We can lie low!

But a month passed in a flash. The System blinked, and doctors, scholars, and great mages from within a thousand miles had gathered right in front of it.

The mission requirement was to decipher Simplified Chinese within three months.

System: ...

System: I'm not exaggerating. I think I'm done for.

As it turned out, Gao Xun's reason for keeping this inexplicable System was remarkably simple:

"It can actually check affection levels!"

The Great Eunuch, surrounded by little lovers, took to it like someone who'd never played a romance simulation game before. She'd check the affection level of every acquaintance she met, then check again when she ran into another one. By the end, she was beginning to question her life.

So she lowered her head and looked at the System.

System: ...

System: A System? What's a System? I'm just a romance simulation machine with no feelings...

...I don't know anything!

PS 0: An alternate history setting. She is not a queen, but a real empress, arrogant and domineering. She's the type to burn down the enemy's ancestral temple and dig up their ancestors' graves after winning a war. Her conduct in war is appalling.

PS 1: The romance is a complete mess, the relationships are bizarre, and everyone except me has multiple personalities. The latter half also has quick transmigration, with a rotating cast of little lovers. Only the System is here to stay.

PS 2: There are yuri elements. I'm writing a natural-born lady-killer who likes both men and women. If that's not for you, please click away.

Theme: That's life. Do whatever makes you happy.
