Du Ruoxi is the novel's ultimate villain. She falls into demonic cultivation for love, is cruel and violent, opposes the protagonist, and is condemned by the world, ultimately meeting her end with both soul and spirit destroyed.
To put the "patron" she'd mistakenly latched onto on the righteous path and save her from the tragic death awaiting her in the novel, Ruan Xifeng gently guides and teaches her by example, even offering her own body.
