I Quit, So Stop Shoving the Marriage Bureau at Me

[Lighthearted, hilarious little pick-me-up]

The day before Lin Yilan finally decides to quit her job, she walks into a bar. While everyone else is busy flirting, she's busy drinking.

"Crappy company, crappy boss, crappy clients. We work overtime every day. Aren't they afraid we'll drop dead?"

A woman with curly hair smiles at her. She twirls a lock of hair around her finger and presses her soft lips to Lin Yilan's ear.

"Then shouldn't you unwind properly?"

Her lips are soft, her waist is slender, and her high heel dangles from the tip of her foot, on the verge of falling.

Word around the office is that a new director has just joined the company. She's decisive, capable, ruthless, and beautiful.

Lin Yilan couldn't care less. I'm quitting anyway, so why should I care?

She knocks on the door. The new director sits in her office chair, flipping through documents with her slender fingers. She wears silver-rimmed glasses, and her curly hair is tied up neatly.

Only one loose strand remains, swaying gently and pointing toward a faint red kiss mark still visible on the back of her high-necked blouse.

Lin Yilan: ...

Oh no. How did this happen?
