[Lighthearted, Male Lead's POV]

Xia Minghe transmigrates and, as a socially anxious shut-in who is afraid of women, ends up as an emperor with three thousand beauties in his harem.

At first, he wonders if he should find a way to send all his consorts out of the palace. After all, women have always made him inexplicably nervous.

But then... it turns out his harem has only one person: the empress.

Were the three thousand beauties in the harem all a lie?!

Eunuch: "Wasn't it Your Majesty who said he didn't want to take any new consorts?"

But Xia Minghe never expected that as soon as he stepped out of the palace hall, a beautifully dressed woman would sidle up to him in an affectedly coquettish manner.

Eunuch: "Because Your Majesty said that rather than taking new consorts, it would be better to have a different beauty every day."

Xia Minghe: ...No, that is not better at all! Where is his empress? Why isn't she coming to drag this person away!

Xia Minghe decides to ignore the former emperor's womanizing ways for now and focus on being a good emperor.

Just as he is about to go to court, he sees his empress outside the palace hall.

Mo Ziyuan: "Why has Your Majesty come here?"

Xia Minghe: "I'm going to court."

Mo Ziyuan: "Your Majesty, should I call for the imperial physician?"

Xia Minghe: "Why?"

Mo Ziyuan: "Could Your Majesty be ill? Why else would you suddenly go to court?"

Xia Minghe: ...

Xia Minghe thinks he can live out his days in peace like this, but then discovers that his empress is not so simple...

Mo Ziyuan: "Meow?"

Xia Minghe: ...Where did this white cat come from? Wasn't I just with my empress?
