After I Wrote a Book, All of Yokohama Wanted to Kill Me

Yuan Xuan had always had a dream: she wanted to write something that could move people's hearts and become a novelist who could shape an era.

Later, she really did it.

After the debut novel by the rising author "Yuan" was published, archaeologists announced that they had uncovered a vast accumulation of human bones beneath an abandoned temple. Their preliminary estimate put the death toll at no fewer than a thousand.

At that point, someone remembered what was, in the truest sense, her first work: an article in the form of a letter, published in a magazine.

It was a recollection of the "battle" that had taken place years earlier, told from a child's point of view.

The perceptive ability users saw the telltale signs between the lines of her writing:

She wasn't drawing on reality to write her stories. Instead, the stories she wrote... were turning into reality.

Yokohama was plunged into a bloody storm, and the whole world was shaken. A well-meaning Russian traveled all the way to Yokohama, and even the Clock Tower's attendants in Europe dispatched an agent.

Every ability user gathered in Yokohama began hunting her down.

Because the paper she wrote on was none other than the legendary "Book."

And what she most loved to write was brimming with every kind of black mud.

At the end of the war twelve years ago, the seventeen-year-old White Kirin came to Yokohama alone after reading a story.

He found the story's author in an orphanage in Yokohama: a little girl with pinkish-purple hair.

The instant their eyes met, it was as if he had crossed the cracks between countless worlds and found the reason for his existence.

Years later, recalling that moment, the White Kirin said, "I saw light falling through a crack as it split open."

Theme: Words and language hold immense power. Words spoken from the heart are enough to change the entire world.
