Synopsis
Coming soon: "Braving the Apocalypse with King of Glory Skills." Blurb below.
After transmigrating into a book as cannon fodder destined to be killed by the villain, Lu Yizhi has just two rules for survival:
1. Keep her head down, cultivate immortality, and get home as soon as possible!
2. Stay as far away as possible from the villain in the original book, the man who has amnesia now but will regain his memories and casually crush her to death!
But the Heavenly Dao plays dirty! The powerful villain who should have been making his mark alongside the heroine, his senior sister, is dumped right into her courtyard.
Looking at the beautiful, fragile villain before her, whose eyes are full of dependence,
Lu Yizhi thinks: Help! Should she take him on as a disciple or not? If she refuses, he might turn evil, but if she accepts, he might regain his memories!
To stay alive, she becomes a little ray of sunshine, doing her best to win her disciple over (and brainwash him), while keeping a close watch on any plot points that might trigger his memories. She even risks her own safety and takes part in person in the key scene from the original story that was supposed to awaken him.
She never expected the plot to go off course and the stimulation to be too much! Jiang Jin's memories seem to have returned!
Even more terrifying, this powerful figure might actually be pretending to still have amnesia?
Wearing that harmless, innocent, wide-eyed facade, he sticks to her every step of the way, never leaving her side, while his gaze grows more and more inscrutable by the day.
Lu Yizhi thinks: The way he looks at me is terrifying! Is he figuring out how to crush me to death? Run! I have to run!
Jiang Jin was born as a sacrifice to the Son of Heaven, with no past and no self, destined to burn through his life for others.
In yet another cycle, the plot seems to have gone slightly off course, and he is handed over to the little master who is always trying to avoid him: Lu Yizhi.
She is a foreign soul from another world. She is terrified of him, yet clumsily, like a little ray of sunshine, she tends to his wounds, talks with him, and tells him about her homeland, a place called the "21st century."
After regaining his memories, he can't bear to see fear in those clear eyes, so he begins the finest performance of his life: pretending to have amnesia.
With the most docile disguise, he becomes the most loyal blade at her side, clearing the thorns and trials from her path to immortality cultivation, clinging to her and never leaving her side.
A few friendly notes: 1. She transmigrates into a book, and the heroine's ultimate goal is to go home. No matter what happens, that never changes.
2. The Qingyi Sect only accepts female disciples, so the male lead is more or less a master of cross-dressing early on. (Consider this a heads-up, though it's one of my favorite little details!)
3. Cultivation levels: Qi Refining - Foundation Establishment - Golden Core - Nascent Soul - Spirit Transformation - Great Ascension - Godhood
-- Coming soon: "Braving the Apocalypse with King of Glory Skills" --
Good news: She won ten million in the lottery. Bad news: She transmigrated.
Good news: She found a sweet boyfriend in another world. Bad news: The apocalypse arrived.
Good news: A gifted young woman awakened an apocalypse System. Bad news: Her boyfriend disappeared!
Chu Yu thinks she's had pretty good luck in life. After transmigrating to another world, she even found a handsome, wealthy boyfriend who treats her like a queen. Other than the fact that he's a little busy with work, he's perfect.
Then one day, she suddenly gets a call from her boyfriend, who's away on a business trip. His first words are that the apocalypse is coming soon and she should hurry to the supermarket to buy food and wait for him to get back.
Chu Yu doesn't believe him, but she still buys a fridge full of food. She never expected the apocalypse to actually arrive. She huddles in her little apartment, eating and waiting for her boyfriend to come get her. But she waits until the food is almost gone, and he still hasn't shown up.
With no choice but to go out and find food so she won't starve, she takes pity on a family of three and saves them, only for them to shove her into a horde of zombies in return. Just as she's about to close her eyes and wait for death, the System arrives and saves her. It also tells her she can draw three King of Glory heroes' skills each day, and each skill lasts 24 hours.
Hey! System, do you know most King of Glory heroes have four skills now?!
It even gives her a mana bar, but she can't use skills without mana, and she can't use them if her mana runs out.
What? How does she replenish her mana? By killing zombies and getting their cores, of course.
And so Chu Yu spends her days fighting monsters, leveling up, and remembering her late husband, until someone tells her they saw her boyfriend at the capital's base!
Chu Yu quickly packs up her little bundle and sets off to find her boyfriend.
-- Mini Scene --
By the time Chu Yu finds Chi Beike again, he's the strongest person at the Kyoto base, cold, distant, and unapproachable.
He even suspects she's a spy sent by an enemy base!
Chu Yu is aggrieved and confused, but that doesn't stop her from running away. She just drew an invisibility skill, so she turns invisible and runs!
But Chi Beike stays within ten meters of her the entire time.
?
Chi Beike stares at the empty space in front of him, sighs, and says, "Do you think the three exclamation marks over my head are fake?"
Theme: Be a kind person.
