Pretending to Be Straight

Ji Qiu was a rich second-generation heir from an insanely wealthy family.

If anyone asked what the one flaw in his perfect life was, Ji Qiu would answer without hesitation: his childhood friend Qin Sinian, whose personality was a total dog!

The two had been at each other's throats for years, but everyone around them thought their bond was unbreakable.

The reason was that when they were fourteen, Qin Sinian found an ingenious, infuriating idea online:

The Pretend to Be Gay Challenge.

Egged on by Qin Sinian, young and foolish Ji Qiu got carried away and accepted the bet.

Having competed over who could scream louder since they were babies in the maternity center, Ji Qiu and Qin Sinian made a point of going against each other in everything. But they were perfectly in sync when it came to being stubborn and competitive:

Never admit defeat first, even if it kills you!

They dug in their heels and kept competing for more than a decade.

Even Ji Qiu couldn't help admiring Qin Sinian's self-control and acting skills.

For a straight guy, he sure could keep up the act.

That's my guy!

With both sets of parents constantly pressuring them, one sunny day they reluctantly went to the marriage registration office to get married.

An hour passed. Not a word was spoken.

The silence was deafening.

With their turn in line almost here, Ji Qiu finally couldn't take it anymore.

When was that stubborn mule Qin Sinian finally going to admit defeat?

At first, when they had just made the bet,

Qin Sinian had declared righteously, "Don't let filthy love sully our pure relationship of mutual benefit!"

Later, he spotted clues on Ji Qiu's alt account and realized Ji Qiu had a secret crush. Clutching his phone, he was so jealous that tears nearly shot out of his eyes.

Who? Which bastard was so lucky?
