Wawa is a no-good fox.
After a thousand years of cultivation, she has barely managed to acquire two hundred years' worth of power, attracting the attention of demons great and small.
Fortunately, not only is her cultivation pathetic, but her character as a fox is just as bad.
With nothing but illusion magic, which she has honed to perfection, she has become invincible throughout the demon realm.
Well, the truth is that she has the luck of a fox and managed to get the Demon King as her patron.
From then on, the no-good fox held her head high, basking in the Demon King's authority and living the good life.
So, in the Demon Palace, one could always see a two-tailed silver fox holding her head up proudly, swishing her two tails, polished to a gleam by the Demon King's petting, and strutting about as if she owned the place, happily accepting the demon attendants' flattery and greetings.

One day, during the Demon Realm's once-in-a-thousand-years grand celebration, the lords of every domain arrived to present their treasures.
The Demon King lounged lazily, stroking his fox and paying no attention to the treasures.
Only the silver fox, curled up on him and pretending to nap, occasionally twitched her ears.
Each time she did, the demon attendants would carefully place the newly presented treasure beside the little fox's very own throne.

Ever since the Demon King got himself a pet fox, his ministers no longer worried that he might turn them to ash whenever he was in a bad mood.
As long as they offered enough benefits, the fox would take the fall for them.
All she had to do was burrow into the Demon King's arms and nuzzle him, and he was sure to calm down.
But where the demon ministers couldn't see, a certain insatiable fox had taken a fancy to a treasure one of the ministers had just received, so:
Wawa: My lord, how are you feeling?
Sasen, winding a fox tail around his hand: ...Mm, not bad.
Wawa: Want to lose your temper? You do, don't you? You really do, right?
Sasen: I do.
Later on, the mercurial Demon King became even more mercurial, while the no-good fox grew richer by the day.
Note:
1. Not a cultivation-leveling story. Her cultivation stays pathetic throughout. The focus is more on the plot.
2. One-on-one romance, sweet and doting, with no angst.
