She Shines Brighter Than Spring [Showbiz]

The cast of the grand historical romance drama "Crimson Dust" was officially announced, stirring up a storm on Weibo.

The reason was simple: the male lead was the immensely popular Best Actor Zhao Hanqing, while the female lead was Mu Danyu, a third-tier actress who had once been caught up in a fake dating rumor with him.

Zhao Hanqing's fans: If they don't replace the female lead, we're not watching!

But before long, a well-known paparazzo went live and released a video of Zhao Hanqing drunkenly embracing Mu Danyu, insisting that Zhao Hanqing was pursuing her.

Zhao Hanqing's fans: Uh...

Later, Mu Danyu quietly rose to fame.

On the red carpet, she looked like a fairy who had descended to earth, breathtakingly beautiful. She landed an endorsement deal with a luxury brand and was treated like a beloved daughter by a world-famous haute couture label. She could act and sing, and her popularity and commercial value kept soaring...

Zhao Hanqing's fans all came around and turned into CP fans.

The Egg White Couple's popularity soared, earning Mu Danyu and Zhao Hanqing a spot on a dating reality show designed to match on-screen couples.

After the show began, the CP fans who had been looking forward to a happy ending for the couple discovered that whenever Zhao Hanqing flirted with her, Mu Danyu always looked as if she thought, "Some villain is trying to harm me!" She didn't seem interested at all!

Just as the CP fans were about to lose hope, a netizen dug up the likes on Mu Danyu's secret Douyin account. They were all videos of muscular men pulling at their ties.

That night, during the live broadcast, Zhao Hanqing cornered Mu Danyu. He hooked a finger into his tie and slowly loosened it, his eyes brimming with drunkenness and undisguised affection. "You like this? Or..."

Zhao Hanqing tugged at his shirt buttons, and the live stream went black. The only thing they heard was Mu Danyu stumbling over her words: "Stop! You, you... put your clothes back on!"

Back when they were students, Zhao Hanqing had once seen someone like this.

In the dim morning light, she walked beneath the shade of a gardenia tree, like a fairy dancing among the sunbeams and gathering the morning dew. She was brighter than spring itself. The breeze carried her rich, sweet fragrance to him, stirring a longing and desire he could not resist.
