PS: 1. My own worldbuilding goes deeper than the sea. It's all from my imagination and differs from conventional history and mythology.

2. The male lead is the institute director because the organization is called the Modern Natural Science Research Institute. Yes, that's really the name of this place that deals with ghosts and spirits. Hahahahaha.

3. "Mister" is what only the female lead calls him. It's exclusively hers.

4. Also, the Great Emperor in the blurb isn't the male lead. He's a revered Taoist deity, a powerful ghost hunter who ranks higher than the big shot Zhong Kui on Baidu.
