Playing the Idle Fish in the Tyrant's Arms

In her previous life, Qu Shao was a cut above everyone else in every way.

No one could rival her beauty.

Her money-making skills put even men to shame.

Even her talents and learning earned praise on an imperial proclamation from that dog emperor, whom everyone despised.

After being reborn at the peak of her life,

Qu Shao found herself with nothing again, all alone and utterly isolated.

She really didn't want to work hard anymore.

Making money was exhausting.

She was wondering how she could be both idle and rich.

Then the dog emperor, who had died young in her previous life, kidnapped her into the palace,

made her his Noble Consort, and promised to let her leave the palace after he died, along with a huge sum of money.

Her only task was to eat, drink, and be merry, and throw a little tantrum now and then.

It was an unbelievably good deal, so she furrowed her brow, convinced something was fishy.

But then she remembered that the dog emperor was going to die in a couple of years.

Without hesitation, she agreed.

Two years passed, and the dog emperor still wasn't dead...

What's more, he dismissed his entire harem and inexplicably made her Empress...

How did this lazy fish end up turning her life around?

Yu Ren was violent by nature and hated nothing more than greedy, lustful people.

He also despised lazy good-for-nothings who made no effort to improve themselves and wasted their lives.

Then he took a stunningly beautiful Noble Consort.

She was greedy and lustful, made no effort to improve herself,

and counted on her fingers every day, figuring out when he would die.

Yu Ren treasured her above all else,

and cherished her in the palm of his hand.

#You once gave me a ray of light. I would clear away every obstacle and give you a lifetime of peace.#
