Purple and Yellow

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang return to Kaifeng from the Divine Authority Manor, just in time for an assassination attempt on Emperor Renzong of Song, Zhao Zhen, while he is traveling incognito. Zhao Zhen orders the Kaifeng Prefecture to investigate, but they find no clues. Later, he is attacked again in the palace and poisoned while saving Zhan Zhao. The group sets off for the Snow City Sect on Mount Hao in Dali to seek an antidote, only to run straight into the mastermind behind the attacks, Chai Wenyi, and his companions. They are even more surprised to discover that Qiao Tianyuan, leader of the Snow City Sect, and Nangong Wei, Zhan Zhao's master, are involved as well.

During their escape, Zhan Zhao, Bai Yutang, and Zhao Zhen help one another. Zhao Zhen sees through Bai Yutang's feelings for Zhan Zhao. At first shocked and unable to understand, he gradually begins to feel something unusual stirring within himself…
