Flowers for Mr. Dazai

[Though it's been released, it will probably take a lifetime to finish]

[Dazai, goodbye. Wakaba, goodbye.]

Since I met you,

let me write something for you.

Though I'll never find the right words,

just as I'll love you forever.

My

Mr. Dazai

Rokugawa Wakaba

I'm Rokugawa Wakaba. After completing a hundred world missions to correct the plot, I finally got my wish and came to Mr. Dazai's side...

As if!

A bug in the System sent me to some weird Saiki K. world!

And that's not even the craziest part.

I soon discovered that:

Mr. Dazai and I had swapped bodies;

Mr. Dazai had seen the messy little stories I'd written;

Sakamoto had shown up in the Saiki K. world, and Mr. Dazai, in my body, was having a great chat with him and Saiki!

I'm Rokugawa Wakaba, and I'm freaking out and completely speechless right now.

Whatever, I can't talk to you all any longer. I'm in a hurry to go to the Armed Detective Agency and work Mr. Dazai's shift!

*

I finally came to the Bungo Stray Dogs world in person.

I finally met Mr. Dazai.

I finally understood how much trouble I'd caused back then.

Mr. Dazai was on the verge of death, and tears fell from my eyes.

I heard him say with a smile, "Your faith will never be shattered. Never."

My faith is Mr. Dazai.

My ability is [Immortality].

It works on everyone.

Except Mr. Dazai.

[Content Warnings and Reading Guide]

1. The ending may not be happy, so read at your own risk.

2. Written entirely in the first person.

3. Early on, characters swap bodies across worlds. Later, the heroine transmigrates into the Bungo Stray Dogs world.

4. [Heroine]

★ An extremely devoted Dazai fan.

★ The heroine has a bad personality. She's not strong, not overpowered, and not normal.

Basically, loving Dazai is her only redeeming quality.

5. Lots of stories-within-stories ahead.

6. I'm preparing for graduate school entrance exams, and won't start writing until I'm done studying, so updates will be [irregular].

This isn't really a proper work, and it's not a novel. It's just an expression of my love for Mr. Dazai, a Dazai-indulgence story I've always wanted to write. So please, never let me see anyone saying bad things about him in the comments. I beg you.

He's not a scumbag, not oversensitive, not spoiled, not depressed, and not obsessed with suicide. He's not gentle enough, and I love him.

(Inspired by Chapter Seven of my "Dazai-san Has Something to Say!")
