Crossing the Line

Blurb subject to change

Chen Xunli, the aloof heartthrob of No. 1 High School, was just like his name suggested: Xun meant following the rules, and Li meant observing propriety and self-restraint.

He was her desk mate. Su Mo was an ordinary girl, and she knew that falling for someone so far out of her league was a fantasy, so she set her sights on the class study committee member instead.

In class every day, Chen Xunli's books would creep over the line. Su Mo didn't dare say anything, until she was left with barely half her desk. She finally worked up the courage to write in her textbook:

"Chen, why do your books always have to cross the line?!"

As soon as Su Mo pushed the book toward him, he put an arm around her shoulders and leaned close to her ear. "Because I like you, damn it."

His name was Chen Xunli: Xun as in taking things one step at a time, and Li as in shameless and without a shred of decency.

Original idiom: shameless and without a shred of decency.
