What is love, really?
Is it a hearty meal after sleeping rough, the everyday chatter at home after work,
or... a skyscraper built from desire?
Zhao Yuan says love is like the apple offered by Snow White's stepmother. It looks beautiful, but it's terribly poisonous. Eating it feels wonderful, but once you swallow it, you may barely escape with your life.
Xu Ziqi says love is like cough syrup: it heals you even as it poisons you. Just when you imagine you're getting better, you fall into an even deeper well.
In this life, so many people search for love, yet never truly understand it.
Time flies, and we've probably slowly forgotten the people who once said they loved us.
So what does "I love you" mean? So often, it's become a lie.
You can't give me what I want, and I don't want what you give me! Yet you still think you love me most.
P.S.:
Starting a new project. Not your typical dual-female-lead story. The main plot is an older woman-younger man romance, with a multi-sided romance as the subplot. No tragic ending.
This isn't a pure romance novel. If you have high expectations for the romantic relationship between the male and female leads, please proceed with caution.
I have some chapters saved up, but not many. I'll try to write quickly.
If you like it, feel free to add it to your reading list.
Theme: Love is a game, and love should be the ending.
