Want to Be a Beacon of Righteousness?

To show their benevolence, the Jiuxiao Sect takes in a young demon seed as a disciple. From the moment he joins, the boy is beaten and scolded by his elders and bullied by his fellow disciples. As expected, he falls into demonic ways. The entire sect then naturally becomes the beacon of righteousness, hunting down their former fellow disciple, only for the young demon seed to wipe out the whole sect. But evil cannot triumph over good, and in the end, the last remaining disciple of the Jiuxiao Sect kills him.

The young demon seed is the book's villain, and the final beacon of righteousness is its male lead. Si Mu, meanwhile, transmigrates into the Jiuxiao Sect's senior sister, the one who bullied the villain most mercilessly and the first person he uses to make an example of.

While the villainous junior brother is still weak, Si Mu decides to strike first.

Si Mu tries to recruit the elders: Want to become a beacon of righteousness?

The elders offer her earnest advice: You're the senior sister. You ought to look after your junior brother.

Si Mu tries to persuade her fellow disciples: Want to become a beacon of righteousness?

Her fellow disciples respond righteously: Fellow disciples should help one another.

Si Mu turns to her junior brother, the male lead: Want to become a beacon of righteousness again?

The male lead, noble and pure: We shouldn't judge others by their origins.

With no one on her side, Si Mu gives up and goes to the villainous junior brother: Want to become a beacon of righteousness? Just kill yourself.

Snow and wind howl on the cliff. The villainous junior brother wraps his cold, slender fingers around Si Mu and draws her into his arms. His dark eyes are tender as he murmurs: Why not die for me, Senior Sister, and become the beacon of righteousness yourself?
