Becoming a Worthless Boss in a Horror Game

My name is He An. I'm a man, 20 years old, and I died of heart disease.

The System, which calls itself everyone's favorite in horror games, caught my soul. It told me that if I became one of its players and survived ten games, I could be reborn.

You've got to be kidding. My heart is so fragile it gives out at the slightest scare. Forget ten games, I couldn't last ten minutes!

The System said it felt very sorry for me and generously offered a different contract. It was short on bosses, it said. If I could get the players wiped out 100 times, it could still grant me a new life.

I looked at my scrawny, chicken-breast-like body and asked in despair: Could I have a capable underling?

The System was silent for a long while before replying: Only the Death Apartment instance, numbered A1856, fits your requirements.

I signed the contract without ever wondering why they needed a useless boss like me when my underling could do the job just fine.
