When Ling Suihe signed the contract with Chen Jiming, she warned herself: money only, no feelings.

But Chen Jiming was young and handsome, gentle and wealthy. Who wouldn't fall for him?

Ling Suihe was no exception. So, when she shouldn't have been falling in love, she did.

For two whole years, Ling Suihe stayed by Chen Jiming's side, always at his beck and call. She wrote him a love letter every day, until a whole drawer was filled with them.

Two years passed, and Ling Suihe never received a single reply from Chen Jiming.

Instead, she got one sentence from him: "You disgust me."

When their three-year contract expired, Ling Suihe left the villa with that drawer of letters.

And... the heart she had once given him.

She had barely reached the door when he stopped her.

The man looked as though he had traveled a long way, his face worn and shadows dark beneath his eyes.

He said, "I don't agree."

His embrace was still so warm. He held her tighter than ever before, as if he meant to make her part of his very bones and blood.

He was trembling.

Ling Suihe blinked, and seemed to be back in that night of raging flames, panic, and bewilderment.

Her body was warm in his arms, but her heart was cold.

"Mr. Chen," she said, "don't be such a sore loser."
