A Lady [Anna Karenina]

At first, I never intended to fall in love with this man. I only wanted to play him. But later... Are older men alluring? Absolutely! Karenin, the longest con I've ever pulled was your love. Karenin thought the wife he needed should be gentle, proper, and virtuous. As long as she met those conditions, more or less anyone could be Mrs. Karenin. But he discovered that his new bride was passionate, willful, and bold, even seductive, tempting, and uninhibited. She was exactly the kind of woman upright officials must never marry, and would be better off never even associating with. This is probably a comedy about a socialist flower trying to play a rule-bound, rigid old aristocrat, only to tame and change his cold, stiff ways along the way, while the old man in turn gradually nourishes and surrounds her with tenderness, familial affection, and love.
