[Identity V] Lingering Thoughts in a Cold Spring, the East Wind Fades [Identity V]

The happy-ending sequel, "May We Reunite, and Wish for Each Other in the Next Life," is out! You can find it on my profile!

[Synopsis]

"Family. They're just people who share your blood. That's all... right?"

"You were delirious... Aren't I Wujie's family?"

"I hate war so much. I don't think anyone could despise those endless conflicts more than I do..."

"If Wujie doesn't like them, then when I grow up, I'll put an end to those wars with Wujie, with our own hands."

"Wujie..."

"?"

"In life and in death, we made our vows..."

"I will hold your hand and grow old with you."

Alas, we are far apart, and I cannot be with you. Alas, our bond is true, yet you do not believe me...

A pledge to die for each other, a longing that lasts...

"May you be blessed. For the rest of our lives, the distance between life and death, between yin and yang, may be hard to cross, but it is not impossible.

One day, we will be reunited."

"May you never forget. In the next life, we will meet again."

The story is mainly set against the backdrop of "East Wind Faraway" (later developing into "Tears for the Withered Flowers"). It includes my own interpretations and settings, but I have tried to stay as close to the official canon as possible.

The dynasties and other background details are entirely fictional, so please don't overthink them.

I'm inexperienced, and there are plenty of plot holes, logical issues, and typos. Please forgive me.

No top or bottom! No top or bottom! No top or bottom!

Their feelings go beyond familial affection, and they both understand it without saying it. [You could call it love, too; they just haven't broken through that barrier yet.]

The sequel is out: "May We Reunite, and Wish for Each Other in the Next Life." It has a happy ending.

There are lots of twists, so I hope you'll stick with it.
