It was still an era of peace. Voldemort's name had not yet spread through the Wizarding World, and the idea of blood purity had only just begun to show signs of becoming a force to be reckoned with. Dumbledore was still the powerful wizard who had defeated Grindelwald, watched and admired by all. Yet beneath the tranquil surface, undercurrents were stirring. People with their own agendas had no idea that an invasion from another world had begun without a sound.
By the time they finally realized what was happening, the enormous disparity in power had already left the wizards with terrible losses and no strength to fight back. In the midst of their despair, Dumbledore stepped forward once again. He called on people to seek help from the wizards of antiquity, so that the glories of the past could protect the light of the present.
Thus, more and more great wizards were summoned back. Besides Slytherin, the most terrifying Dark wizard in history, the Four Founders of Hogwarts gradually appeared as well. Across a thousand years, Slytherin's guidance helped people build a line of defense, and the knowledge he taught them enabled them to create summoning arrays. Gryffindor came to the modern world and held the front lines, his presence suppressing Voldemort's rise. Ravenclaw, summoned as well, turned spoils of war into money and power, and her research brought ancient and modern magic ever closer together. Hufflepuff, roused from her slumber, also opened her eyes. The magic of healing and food gradually drove the poison of war away.
The dangers on the front lines were gradually resolved, but the dangers from within never disappeared. The people of the past brought back lost knowledge, and that knowledge ultimately gave rise to an unprecedentedly powerful Dark Lord. Under the rule of darkness, the Ministry of Magic developed unprecedented ambition. In Slytherin's name, they concealed the noose of control within the summoning runes. Even the Founders of Hogwarts could not return to their former home as they wished.
The end of the war seemed impossibly far away, while the first signs of civil war had already begun to emerge.
In this era, when Dark Magic was far more powerful in attack than white magic, summoning Slytherin had become both a taboo and the only hope. He was the ancestor of the Dark Lord, and the first ancient wizard to reach out and help the modern Wizarding World. He was a Founder of Hogwarts, and the most terrifying Dark wizard in history. No one knew what summoning him might bring, but no one wanted the enemy to summon him first.
Yet no one had ever expected that Slytherin would refuse the summons of his own accord.
A thousand years have passed, my friend. When will we meet again?
Please note!!!
* These are my take on the Founders: a gentle and forgiving Salazar, a steadfast and restrained Godric, and mutual unrequited love.
* Salazar, who loves Godric so much he could bang his head against a wall; Godric, who has no idea Salazar loves him and just wants to sing “I love you, but you love an idiot” to him; and the eagle and badger who love watching the drama unfold.
* Extremely loosely based on canon, with all sorts of settings and stories that have basically broken away from the original. The setting may seem grim and heavy, but everyone is just happily falling in love.
Theme: Those who love each other finally find love, and those who have been hurt are hurt no longer.
It's so perfect. It's such a perfect match.
It's outrageous that these are not even together! The point is, I think what Godric said makes sense?????
Godric: I am your favorite kitten!
Wow wow wow I just found this article, it's so good, but it's a pity that the author cheated me 😭
Hahahaha you are more suitable to be good brothers
Phew! It's the head that needs to be checked
