--------Blurb--------
Lu Yuerong lost her mother at seven and spent the next ten years as an invisible presence in the Lu household.
Ten years later, with her stepsister's wedding approaching, it was Lu Yuerong who was sent off to marry in her place.
On the wedding day, the groom-to-be never appeared with the welcoming party.
The next day, Lu Yuerong set off for the northwestern frontier with the army.
Three years into the marriage, her medical skills had earned her the respectful title of "Madam" from everyone in the military camp.
Even she thought she and her husband had found harmony and mutual respect.
But by chance, she discovered what her husband really thought.
At last, she understood his past hot-and-cold behavior and indifference.
Fine. If you find me repulsive, then I'll divorce you.
I'll write the divorce papers, and I'll take the child.
From now on, you go your way and I'll go mine. We have nothing more to do with each other.
[Content warnings and notes]
1. This is an unconventional substitute-bride story, an old-school melodramatic angst novel. The melodrama is free-flowing.
There will be angst! A lot of angst! Truly, a lot. If you can't handle angsty stories, choose carefully.
2. Includes the heroine suffering first, followed by the hero; a groveling pursuit of his wife; and a pregnant heroine fleeing with the child.
3. Sweetness level: three out of ten. Readers who prefer very sweet stories should choose carefully.
4. Some events early on won't be explained until much later. The story will involve some court politics later on, though the author has limited experience, so we'll see how it turns out.
5. Friendly discussion and suggestions about the plot are very welcome. Please don't make personal attacks on the author.
Theme: Only with courage and perseverance can we break free from the chains of fate.
How should I put it? It's too dull. The male protagonist and the female protagonist have neither outstanding characters nor do they show love for each other in their actions. It's like two strangers who were not suitable in the first place and were forcibly tied together by the author.
As for Tingyu, she has been forgotten like this. I don't know why there is so much malice towards Tingyu. She is much more pitiful than the heroine. Does everyone love the heroine?
Thanks for the limited fee, not bad
Thanks for the limited exemption, my writing is getting better and better, keep it up, I like the parallel episodes!
End! I can feel the author's progress!
Childhood sweethearts are so nice! Finished with flowers.
Seeing now, I really feel sorry for Pei Yu. There are no happy days in this life.
Time will pass, but love will never fade away. Goodbye.
Finished spreading flowers!!! The parallel world written in large letters is very beautiful!!!
Parallel episode, I really love it
