Xie Yi couldn't understand it. He only wanted to catch a glimpse of a great auk, and for that, he swam for ten whole minutes in the freezing waters of the North Atlantic. How had he ended up with a mermaid clinging to him?
This mermaid ate a dozen or so apples every day and drank three large mugs of ale. Only when she was in a good mood would she let him touch the tip of her tail. When she got cranky, she would go shark hunting in international waters by herself and drag all her prey back to the Morrigan.
Captain Cormac had privately done the math. The whale oil and baleen alone would earn him back more than twice the cost of the ship. Either way, it was a good deal.
What's it like to keep a mermaid at home?
Xie Yi: Thanks for asking. I'm in the Arctic, fresh off a warship. Aside from the rather steep food expenses, it's all going pretty well.
Reader's Guide
1. Pairing: Xie Yi x Derceto
2. Fanfiction based on the single-player game Assassin's Creed: Rogue. No prose, no plot, just sweet romance and lots of Xie Yi being adorable.
3. Follows the original setting, with some out-of-character moments.
4. The cover shows the fish dressed for a voyage at sea.

Slender arms The mermaid could consider hugging the captain on the spot to show her strength.
Haha, is this the cod version of Daughter of the Sea?
With a cod's strength, it's really hard for him to hold a 300-pound mermaid.
The last few paragraphs!!! This kind of emotion is so beautiful. Wuwuwu. Deckedo's feelings are so pure. Wuwuwuwuwu. I'm starting to feel sour for Shay.
I can't think of anything to comment on, so I'll click on it to make up for it (?)
